Where Fun Meets Foundation

Champions Preschool and Aftercare is a trusted Christian-based early learning and aftercare centre in operation since 2009.

We offer a nurturing, faith-filled environment where children are unconditionally loved, supported, and taught.

Our focus is on the holistic development of each child—academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Our high-quality aftercare services include safe school collection, structured homework support, and engaging activities that promote learning and growth.

At Champions, we partner with parents to help children thrive—both in school and beyond.

Leading the Team

Sally, a gualified Grade R teacher, opened Champions n 2009. With diplomas in education, management, and administration, she brings passion and purpose to her work. She loves gardening, working with and uplifting people and families in the greater George community.

Samantha, our dedicated principal, has been leading Champions for the past 13 years. With over 20 years of teaching experience and a background in school leadership, she brings energy, warmth, and wisdom to our team. Outside the classroom, she's a lover of outdoor sports and a proud supporter of the George Arts Theatre.

Akhayna

Qualified Chef

I am Akhayna. I am a qualified chef. I hold a qualification from Francois Ferreira Academy. I've loved cooking since I was a child.

Teacher Jonita

NQF 4 qualification

I am Teacher Jonita. I love drawing and creative arts which helps children to bring out their creativity too. I love to make learning fun and exciting

Teacher Lasheka

NQF 5 qualification

I am Teacher Lasheka. I am a energetic person who likes to be creative. I enjoy creating a safe and fun environment for children.

Teacher Magaret-Anne

NOF level 6 qualification

I am Teacher Magaret-Anne. I am currently doing B.ED Degree. Working with children is my passion.

Teacher Mercia

NQF 5 qualification

I am Teacher Mercia. I’ve been a preschool teacher for 11 years. I have a deep passion for working toddlers.

I am Teacher Michelle. I've been a teacher at Champions for 5 years. I love music and dancing, I enjoy teaching and the outdoor's.

I am Teacher Lara, this is my second year at Champs. I love seeing each learner grow and believe in inclusivity and acceptance.

I am Teacher Channlynn. I have a Diploma in Educare and halfway to getting my Degree in Foundation phase teaching as you are never too old to learn.

At Champions Preschool and Aftercare, we create a nurturing, Christian-based environment where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to grow.

Our preschool offers small class sizes for personal attention, nutritious meals, and a well-rounded approach to learning that includes gardening, sensory-based activities, and the CAPS curriculum.

In our aftercare program, children receive structured homework assistance, enjoy healthy meals, and still have plenty of time to play and connect with friends.

We also treat our full-time learners to free holiday care and exciting educational outings, making Champions a place where every child can thrive—mind, body, and spirit.

We’re excited to announce that starting July 2025, Champions will be launching a home-based education center offering dedicated support and guidance for home-school learners. Whether you're looking for structure, academic assistance, or a nurturing learning environment, we’re here to help your child thrive. Plus, don’t miss out on our fun-filled holiday club, running every school holiday! This holiday club theme is “Survivor” — packed with exciting challenges, teamwork, and adventure. It’s the perfect mix of learning, laughter, and lasting memories.
